Once again how can we claim to be a peaceful (islam) religion when we are nothing more than a political tool of alqaeda. How will our clergy ever hold their heads up in the world with Imam's spouting poisonous rhetoric like that. More recently Sheikh Anwar al-Awlaki dealt with the same issues showing such alliance and covenants are not allowed, So in general principle we should keep our agreements, when a kaffir attacks a muslim then the existing agreement between that kaffir or group of kuffar and any other muslims is broken as the muslims are one body and you cannot ally with a kaffir against a muslim, and if you do you become one of them.
