Hello Robert,
A question that I asked myself before deciding to join the Canadian Forces two years ago was: How would I feel eventually after being deployed to Afghanistan and being commanded to kill other Muslims? Do you find it that your higher orders sometimes contradict with what’s been given to you in your religion? Do you consider yourself an American first and a Muslim second or is it the other way around?
I ask you these questions because I find it quite intimidating to see Muslims killing each other for what they believe to be just reasons, not just in Afghanistan and Iraq, but every where else in the world, but it’s been more evident and clear in that region recently. Not to your surprise or mine, but this prophecy was revealed to us as a sign of the end of days by the prophet long time ago.
Some people might say that you or I would be fighting extremist muslims that want to kill everyone who doesn’t go by their ways including myself and you and our families, which means we would be defending ourselves. right? but I wasn’t able to convince myself that I should be doing what every other person who’s fighting these wars is doing, because to be honest, it doesn’t seem to accomplish anything and is only complicating things for everyone in the world, and not just Muslims. It is hindering our progress as intelligent beings.
I am a survivor of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, and my dad was captured, intimidated, and humiliated for a week by the Iraqi army and the Baath party. My mother was threatened by an Iraqi soldier as he had her aimed for down his AK sights. We lost our home, our life, and our peace because of that war. I have every reason to hate every drop of blood of the Iraqi people, but I am not here to judge everyone or create a base for my opinion on every one. I walked out of that war carrying a big sign “No war can ever be justified” because I saw things that no 7 year old boy should see. I developed the idealogy that politics is the only thing that stands in the way of peace and love between nations, and when I was about to enlist in the army two years ago, I decided that I didn’t want to play the politics game, as it seems to be the only reason that you and me; two muslims; myself and israeli friend, cannot have a civilized, friendly, and productive conversation.
Regards,
Mohammad

“DRAW MOHAMMED DAY” CAN BE A VICTORY FOR MUSLIMS…LETS SEE HOW
Understanding the way the media works and American cultures works. This was coming.
Now we have two choices.
1) Either all of us Muslims stand together and do nothing. Some will make a “video” and
post them as response to this. A very small number will do something HATEFUL or say something HATEFUL. You have to
understand that with the way we’re responding. There isn’t much you can do to stop this” Draw Mohammed Day”.
AND I’LL TELL YOU WHY?
Imagine this “Draw Mohammed Day” being a big open fire and the only Tools u have are buckets
of gasoline, because there’s nothing you can throw in this fire rather than gasoline.
Rather than throw buckets of gasoline, what we could do is Rather than Attacking, we could post videos and just say
“Hello”. Imagine as people are looking to find these videos, they’ll actually see Muslims, and not Muslims responding with HATE. They’re going to be saying “Hey, I understand you have some interest in Islam. Let me tell you some things about Prophet Mohammed”. And just keep it real simple.
You go to SITES where they posted images of “Prophet Mohammed”, you to the bottom of the site and say something like “Hey, I’m Muslim, just wanted to let you know if you ever have any questions about Islam, please just let me know”. And what they’ll get is restraint and Wisdom of most Muslims. This is MOST POWERFUL weapon you can use against all this.
The horse escaped the barn; you can’t get it back in. There is going to be more and more of these images and if something NEGATIVE happens in response
to these, there going to be EVEN MORE images and there’s going to more unflattering and Horrible things done to this fake images of Prophet Mohammed and it’s going to be widespread everywhere. And then people are not even interested or paying attention to Islam are going to be very hateful towards Islam, because they’re going to see “ISLAM” taking away they’re favorite cartoonist, that they love and “ISLAM” taking away their freedoms. It will not serve the Muslims for peace or anything. So I think the answer is on May 20th, for Muslims to come out with a “smile” and address of these people and say “Hello, you questions about Islam? I’m a Muslim, I’d be more than happy to answer them for you”. And leave it at that. I think this is the thing to do.
I also think that if we Muslims handle this right, May 20th could be THE GREATEST NUMBER OF CONVERSIONS TO ISLAM IN RECENT HISTORY, because it’s an opportunity where all of these people are already swirling around Islam. It’s in a negative way to make images, but there is way in which are getting connected, because they are investing themselves in an image of Prophet Mohammed. You can give them something solid and real to pin that image on, rather than what they’ve heard. All most of these people, know about Prophet Mohammed, is that he’s “supposedly” preventing them from watching their favourite cartoon.
You can give them more than that, AND I HOPE YOU WILL.
Please try and understand what I’m trying to tell you here, with an open mind or else we have no idea what’s coming.
